It is located adjacent to a 160 acre county owned wildlife area and within the proposed area of the DNR's Waterman Prairie Wildlife Area.
Driving directions: The site is located 4 1/2 miles southeast of Sutherland on Hwy 10 or 3 1/2 miles northwest of Peterson on Hwy 10, then 1 mile north on Yellow Avenue. The center is built on the west side of the road on a bluff overlooking the river valley.
